Junior Raiders Boys Basketball Registration

Tryout Information Boys 4th - 8th Grade:

 

WHAT TO BRING - Ball and water bottle

COST - $20 - includes a reversible tryout & practice jersey to keep

 

AGE GROUP, DATES & LOCATION: IMPORTANT INFO -  Grade level is what your child will be going into for the 2024/2024 School Year (Not current grade)

4th graders - Monday, May 13th & Tuesday, May 14th - 5:30 to 7:00 @ Longfellow Middle School

5th graders - Monday, May 13th & Tuesday, May 14th - 7:00 to 8:30 @ Longfellow Middle School

6th graders - Wednesday, May 15th & Thursday, May 16h - 5:30 to 7:00 @ Longfellow Middle School

7th graders - Wednesday, May 15th & Thursday, May 16h - 7:00 to 8:30 @ Longfellow Middle School

8th graders - Wednesday, May 8 from 7:00 to 9:00 at Tosa East High School.   Note: Monday May 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 will be our make up date for players that have conflicts on May 8.

2024 - 2025 Season Details

Winter League:
Timing: Runs October 20234 - March 2025
Practices: 2 times per week
Locations: Wauwatosa School District Gyms (vary by availability)
League: Most teams will play in the WYBL league.  The leagues run every other weekend throughout the season.
Tournaments: Teams will play in up to 3 tournaments per year (#s may vary based on age group)
Fees: $410 per kid (financial support available on individual basis).
  • 85% to 90% of fees pay for tournament, league, referee and practice gym rental.  The remaining fees help pay for administration fees (website, registration platform, insurance, coaches/player equipment, shooting shirt and uniform maintenance)
Summer Basketball is Optional: 
  • Summer Basketball leagues are not officially part of the Junior Raiders program, but encouraged as long as coaches, parents and players want and are available to play.
  • Summer league costs would be paid directly by team that signs up (not part of Winter season)
  • We are exploring open gyms, outdoor pick up hoops and other ideas to give kids the chance to play basketball in a fun less structured environment
