2025 Basketball Tryout Schedule β All Grades
Tryouts will take place in September and early October at Longfellow Middle School. Each grade level will have two tryout sessions and one makeup session if needed.

Tips for Participants

Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and warm-up.

Bring a water bottle, appropriate shoes, and a reversible jersey (if available).

Attend both scheduled tryout sessions to ensure proper evaluation.

If you are unable to attend both main sessions, please attend the designated makeup date.

Winter League (Official Season)

Season Duration: Late October 2025 β March 2026

Practices: 2 times per week

Practice Locations: Wauwatosa School District Gyms (specific sites vary based on availability)

League Play:
βΈ Most teams will participate in the WYBL (Wisconsin Youth Basketball League), *League spots are not guaranteed. If team is not accepted into WYBL we will have the team play more tournaments.
βΈGames are typically scheduled every other weekend throughout the season -
Tournaments:
βΈ Teams will compete in up to 3 tournaments per season (exact number may vary by age group) -
Player Fee: $410 per player
βΈ Financial assistance available upon request

The remaining 20% covers administrative and program costs, including:

Summer Basketball
- Everyone that registers for tryouts will have access to Open Gyms weekly at Tosa East (schedule to be emailed to participants)

Summer leagues are not officially part of the Junior Raiders program, but participation is encouraged if players, parents, and coaches are available and interested.

Costs for summer leagues are paid directly by each team and are not included in the winter season fees.
